GO AND
MAKE DISCIPLES.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2026 / PHILIP ANTHONY MITCHELL
MATTHEW 28:18–20 / UNTIL ALL HAVE HEARD
Message notes
WHAT WE HEARD
- Jesus begins with authority: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” The command rests on who He is, not on how ready we feel.
- "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations"; the last command of Jesus is not a suggestion for the professionally religious. It is the commission of every believer.
- Making disciples is more than converts: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything He commanded.
- The promise closes the gap: “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Obedience is never alone.
WHAT TO DO WITH IT
- Name the person in front of you. The Great Commission usually begins with one name, not a nation.
- Get baptized if you have believed; the new convert is commanded to go public in water.
- Get into the Word line by line. Disciples are made by teaching, not by atmosphere.
- Take the next step: Growth Track on the 2nd and 4th Sunday, a Squad, or a serving team.
